Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 July 2026
Caves & Lizards is a free, dark-fantasy browser game made for the love of it. These terms keep things fair for everyone in the caves. By creating an account you accept them.
The game
- The game is free to play. There are no purchases and nothing is for sale.
- It is a living project: features, balance, and content will change, and though we work to preserve your progress (with regular backups), we cannot absolutely guarantee it.
- The game's world, art, and writing belong to the project. Your character names and portrait ideas remain yours — by submitting them you let us show them in the game (leaderboards, arenas, chronicles).
Your account
- One account per person; up to six characters live on it. Keep your password to yourself.
- Pick names that would not shame the tavern wall — no slurs, no impersonation, nothing unlawful. We may rename or remove characters that cross that line.
- You can delete your account at any time from the champion-selection screen; deletion is immediate and permanent (see the Privacy Policy).
Fair play
- No bots, scripts, exploits, or multi-account schemes that farm gold, ratings, or other players. Fight with your own claws.
- If you find a bug, tell us instead of milking it — bug-milkers may find their gold confiscated or their account suspended.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Sunlight is not the only thing that can banish a gladiator.
No warranty
The game is provided as-is, free of charge, with no warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress, downtime, or anything a basilisk does to your champion.
The fine print
These terms are governed by Swedish law. If part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions: viktor.raskandersen@gmail.com.
